The Second Annual Mail Art Exhibition |
|
Through May 1st, send
mail art to:
Your Name
c/o FLYNNDOG
208 Flynn Ave.
Burlington, VT 05401
If you would like your work to be included in our collection, Mail
Art may also be addressed simply to FLYNNDOG. In this case, don’t
forget to provide us with some some identifying information.
The exhibit will run from March 14th to May 8th.
Work that is accepted will be hung as it arrives.
First work in first up, last in last up.
The absolute deadline is May 1st.
A five dollar entry fee (per artist, not per submission) is requested
under separate cover along with any special installation or sale
instructions. We will waive this annoying fee for international
work or for work which is destined for our archives.
Please provide a SASE for return of your Mail Art if you do not
intend to retrieve it in person between May 7th and May 9th.
Crescendo Reception on May 7th with Auction to benefit
the artists.

Gabrielle Dietzel, 2003
mail art from "CANCELLED"
our first annual group exhibition of mail art
In addition to the work we receive this year, PUSHING
THE ENVELOPE will feature new work by last year's organizers of
the "CANCELLED!"
exhibition, 05602 +/- Mail Artists Gabrielle Dietzel, Axel Stohlberg
and Delia Robinson.
Other details:
- Bidding will start at $30 (unless the artist
advises us otherwise).
- Our typical 70/30 (artist/gallery) commission
will apply to work that is auctioned.
- Our gallery insurance has a $250 dollar deductible
which we are not able to cover in the event of a loss. We will
do our best to keep your work safe and in good condition, without
guarantee, which I suppose is as good as the USPO. If this is
a concern, consider your own insurance.
- Mail art that isn’t destined for our archive,
or is not sold or isn't retrieved by the artist by May 10th must
have a SASE for us to return.
- Let us know if we can use an image of your Mail
Art on our website, postcard or press. We will credit the work,
of course.
